UNASHamed

DIABETES

A 4‑week live course to stop letting guilt and shame hold you back, so you can own your diagnosis & become the woman who manages it instead of hiding from it

Happening november 9th-november 30th

(calls will be recorded)

Diabetes isn’t the only thing weighing on you.

You didn’t just get a diagnosis.
You got a story about yourself.

For most women it sounds like:

👉🏼 “I did this to myself.”

👉🏼 “If I’d just had more willpower, I wouldn’t be here.”

👉🏼 “My A1C is proof I’m a failure.”

👉🏼 “My doctor must think I’m lazy.”

👉🏼 “My family is disappointed in me.”

👉🏼 “If I had just cut out sugar, I wouldn't be here.”

And when that’s the story… you don’t feel “motivated.”

You feel ashamed.
You avoid appointments.
You ignore numbers.
You eat in secret and promise to “start over Monday.”
You tell yourself you know what to do, you’re just not doing it.

It’s not that you don’t care.
It’s that shame has made it feel safer to hide than to try or try again.

You are not the problem. The shame is.

Having diabetes or prediabetes does not make you a bad person, a failure, or a lost cause.

But years of:

👉🏼 being talked down to by providers

👉🏼 family comments about weight, food, and “taking care of yourself”

👉🏼 headlines that blame people for “bringing diabetes on themselves”

… have trained you to see your diagnosis as a punishment instead of a body asking for a different kind of care.

Unashamed Diabetes is where that changes.

Before you can follow any nutrition plan, exercise routine, or blood sugar strategy…

… you have to stop beating yourself up for needing one.

What Unashamed Diabetes actually is

This 4‑week live course IS:

✅ A safe space to drop the guilt and shame about your diagnosis

✅ A place to change the way you talk to yourself and think about your body

✅ A gentle on-ramp into feeling capable of managing this condition

✅ A taste of what it’s like to be supported instead of judged

This 4‑week live course is NOT:

❌ A meal plan or diet challenge

❌ A workout program

❌ A deep dive into diabetes physiology or medication

It’s the step before all of that.

By the end of these 4 weeks, you’ll feel like a woman who can face her diagnosis…

so that when you are ready to learn the nutrition and blood sugar tools, you can actually use them.

This is for you if…

01

You’ve been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes or prediabetes and feel a lot of guilt about it

02

You avoid checking your blood sugar or booking appointments because you’re scared of being judged

03

You constantly talk to yourself in harsh, punishing ways about food, your body, or your numbers

04

You know you “should” be doing more, but the shame keeps you stuck and frozen

05

You’re tired of feeling like you caused this and deserve to suffer

06

You want to feel calmer, kinder to yourself, and actually ready to make changes — without another restrictive diet

If you already know you want long-term support with food, movement, and blood sugar, this 4‑week course is the emotional foundation that makes those changes possible.

What we'll do together in 4 weeks

Week 1: You Are Not Your A1C

  • Separate who you are from your diagnosis and numbers
  • Understand how shame has been running the show (and how it’s been holding you back)
  • Start catching the stories your brain tells you about having diabetes and gently rewriting them

Week 2: Changing The Voice In Your Head

  • Notice what you say to yourself when things go “wrong” with food, movement, or numbers
  • Learn new, compassionate scripts for those hard moments
  • Practice talking to yourself like someone you actually care about — without losing responsibility

Week 3 – Guest Speaker You’re Not Lazy, You’re Carrying A Lot

  • Hear from a psychologist who lives with type 2 diabetes herself
  • Learn how chronic illness shame impacts motivation, relationships, and follow-through
  • See what it looks like to live with diabetes without making it your whole identity, and without hiding

Week 4 – Becoming The Woman Who Manages This

  • Decide who you want to be with this diagnosis (instead of “the noncompliant patient”)
  • Choose simple “acts of self-respect” you want to carry into the next 30–90 days
  • See clearly what emotional work you’ve done — and what support you’ll need to actually manage your blood sugar going forward

Here's what's included when you join Unashamed Diabetes:

01

4 x weekly live Zoom sessions (60–75 minutes) with teaching, reflection, and gentle coaching

02

1 x live guest session with a psychologist who also lives with type 2 diabetes

03

Private Slack community for the 4 weeks for questions, support, and accountability

04

Simple, doable weekly challenges to help you practice what we cover

05

Replays of all sessions if you can’t attend live

06

This is not a passive watch-and-forget course. It’s a live experience where you are held, seen, and supported as you begin relating to your diagnosis, and yourself, differently.

faq

I feel like I should be focusing on food and exercise. Is this really the right place to start?

If beating yourself up about food & movement actually worked, it would have worked by now. This course gives you the emotional safety & self-respect you need before any plan can stick. After these 4 weeks, you’ll be in a much better place to actually use nutrition & exercise guidance — whether that’s with me in the 12‑week or elsewhere.

I already know a lot about diabetes. Will this still help me?

Most of my clients don’t have an information problem. They have a self-blame, avoidance, & burnout problem. Unashamed Diabetes isn’t about teaching you more facts. It’s about changing the way you relate to the facts you already know, so they stop feeling like a verdict & start feeling like data you can work with.

What if I can’t make the calls live?

Replays will be available for all sessions. You’ll still be able to follow along, post your reflections in Slack, & get support. That said, if you can make it live for even one or two sessions, you’ll feel the shift more powerfully.

Is this only for women?

Yes. This round is specifically for women living with diabetes or prediabetes. My 12‑week group is also women-only, and this keeps the space focused and safe.

Will you tell me what to eat or change my medications?

No. We won’t be prescribing diets, changing meds, or replacing your healthcare team. We’ll be working on the shame, self-talk, & emotional weight that make it so hard to even use the medical care and information you already have.

Will you talk about your 12‑week program?

Yes, near the end of the 4 weeks, I’ll share how my 12‑week coaching group supports women with the nutrition, movement, & blood sugar skills to build on the emotional work we’ve done here. There’s no pressure to join, but if you know you want more support, you’ll have a clear next step.
